Co-President’s Message
Our theme for 2007-08 is “Garden Mosaic”.
Garden n. A plot of land used for the cultivation of flowers, vegetables, herbs or fruit.
Mosaic n. Art consisting of a design made of small pieces of colored stone or glass.
A mosaic incorporates individual elements to create a unified whole. This year, we intend to assemble a garden mosaic by combining a wide range of garden topics: herb and flower gardening, artistic design, landscape design, garden problems and solutions, conservation and ecology into a useable cache of knowledge. As we learn and grow, we expand the mosaic of our lives adding beauty and pleasure. We enhance our endeavors to improve our community and environment, beautifying our own surroundings and that of the town of Trumbull.
We will call upon all of our members to share the responsibilities, duties, successes and joys of the year ahead. With each of us sharing our unique abilities with the group, the Long Hill Garden Club will truly flourish.
Can’t you just picture that?!
