Welcome to Long Hill Garden Club's 70th year. Our theme this year is “Shades of Green”. I’m very excited, as I love each and every shade of green. May we all have green thumbs!
Our programs promise to be educational. One program will highlight enchanting Irish gardens and landscapes. Nothing is greener than the beautiful Emerald Isle.
We will learn to care for trees and to cook with herbs and edible flowers. We will “go green” and learn about organic gardening and composting. Our Conservation Committee is making plans to celebrate Arbor Day.
In addition to our monthly programs, several workshops and field trips will be offered, using input from April’s questionnaire. Please take the opportunity to avail yourselves of any workshops or activities that interest you.
We will again have our plant sale to “make some green-backs” to help pay for the projects we have planned. I ask you all to get involved, to help the Long Hill Garden be the best that it can be.
“Green is the prime color of the world,
and that from which its loveliness arises.”
