1. The “Handbook for Flower Shows”, 1997, Revised Edition, will be the Club’s guide for all exhibits.
2. Flowers and other materials need not be grown by the exhibitor.
3. All designs must be made and staged by the exhibitor.
4. All exhibits must be in place by 11:30 a.m. unless otherwise designated.
5. Plant material may be fresh and/or dried. Only dried material may be treated, i.e., painted, dyed, waxed, etc. No artificial plant material is permitted.
6. Accessories may be used.
7. Backgrounds may be used.
8. All materials used must be listed.
9. The decision of the judges is final.
Members are encouraged to study the Design and Horticulture Exhibiting display boards on view at most meetings. Also, the library has many good books on Floral Design which can be most helpful.

Create a small design not to exceed 8 inches in height, width and depth.
Background and foreground may be used to highlight your design.

“Witches and Broom Sticks”
Welcome family and guests with a three sided arrangement. Keep in mind it’s Halloween.
November
“Let Us Give Thanks”
Centerpiece to be viewed from four sides.
Create a design using fresh flower and vegetables and dried materials for your Thanksgiving table.

Holiday Luncheon
Volunteers needed to do centerpieces for our tables. Sign up sheet with details at our November meeting.
January
“Ice and Snow” Designer’s choice
Polish up the old silver and create a design to brighten up your home.
February
“Two for the Price of One” Small design.
Create a Stretch Design not to exceed 12 inches in height, width and depth.
March
“When the March Winds Blow”
Create a crescent design with fresh and dried materials.
April
“You’re Looking a Little Seedy”
Spark up your wardrobe with something new. Use your imagination to design a piece of jewelry using all dried materials---seeds, pods, branches, etc.
